Eternal Security

Eternal security is the inability for a believer to lose their salvation.

What do the following verses say concerning your salvation?

John 6:37

All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. He who comes to me I will in no way throw out.

Romans 11:29

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22

Now he who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us, and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.

You cannot lose your salvation because:

1. It Was Not Yours to Gain—You were saved because God chose you to be saved since the foundation of the world. You did nothing to earn it. God in His love gave it you.
2. It Is Not Yours to Lose—Your salvation was not given to you by any merit of your own. It is impossible to unmerit what you did not merit in the first place. All of your sin past, present, and future has been paid for by Jesus Christ. It is finished!
