Our new life in Christ is one where...
- Our old life of unrepentant practices of sin and dishonoring the Lord is over. (2 Cor. 5:17)
- Our new life of growing to be more like Christ and honoring the Lord has begun. (Gal. 2:20)
- We are adopted children of God and can expect His perfect love and care for us as a good Father. (John 1:12)
- We are no longer ignorant of sin and take no lasting pleasure in sinning. (Rom. 6:22)
- We are no longer blind to the truth and can grow in our understanding of what is true by knowing God and His Word. (2 Cor. 4:4)
Discussion
- Why do you think we continue to sin after we are saved?
- Do you think it is even possible to a live a day or more without sinning?
- How can you grow in honoring the Lord?
- How does God being our Father and we His children help us in life?
- How do you plan to grow in your understanding of what is true?
